The Incredible Ice Wang

I found this giant ice formation in my backyard. Imagine my surprise! It is an impressive sight—about three feet tall, fully erect.

The sculpture was formed by the slow accumulation of mist from the steam ventilation pipe above it. It was not through dripping water—which would have formed an irregular bumpy shape—but through intermittent blasts of steam, which freeze upon contact with the shaft. This gentle misting gives the formation its perfect vertical symmetry.

The freshest ice at the tip is crystal clear, then becomes cloudy on the main length of the shaft.

These photographs are real. They have not been altered in any way.

I believe this is evidence that God has a great sense of humor.
