Open to Criticism
Brian Bender’s work is open to public and private criticism. If you have something to say, please email me, or post it elsewhere. If you want to write something negative or harsh or crabby or simply critical about the work I’m doing, you should go ahead and do it and not worry about being nice or hurting my feelings.
It is through criticism that things are improved. This site is basically a huge ego-trip, but that shouldn’t make it closed to dialogue. Please dispense your wisdom.
I have one request: let me know about it. Send me the URL, or copy it to an email. Don’t criticize in secret. Criticism is face-to-face. Behind my back, it accomplishes nothing.
I am purposefully not defining criticism. It could be a lengthy essay, or simply “this sucks”. Both are important in different ways.
Yes, I realize it’s pretentious to assume that this site is even worth criticizing in the first place. Perhaps that would be a good starting point…

The “Open to Criticism” concept comes from Paul Ford.
