I'm happy to report that my nose has healed nicely. I also gave myself a haircut yesterday, and I’m feeling ready to tear the ears off a gundark. Today is lunch with Karl and Tom, then laundry-day, and perhaps an hour of web work. I am dreading tonight’s dance lesson, for reasons which may become apparent in upcoming entries.
2:30 pm
In the middle of laundry cycle. I walked through the alley on my way to the laundromat. There’s a lot going on back there today. They demolished the house two-doors-down, and brought one of those huge construction dumpsters to block the alley. I watched as they slid it off the truck and it splashed loudly into a pile of slush.
There’s a weird chemical spilled back there. I noticed the telltale rainbow puddles and a really noxious smell. I must have got some on my shoes, because the smell is following me wherever I go. Call me the Toxic Avenger!
Karl-Dieter followed me home from our lunch with Tom. He’s on the couch reading the paper while I wash the laundry. The perfect picture of domesticity…if I was married to Karl-Dieter.
4:10 pm
The laundry is clean, folded and stored.
5:30 pm
I got a phone call from Near North. I’m conducting some business on the phone when KDC starts farting really loudly! Full tone, beautiful resonance and duration—some very nice work. But a tad embarrassing when dealing with a client.
11:00 pm
It was an interesting evening. That’s all I can say at this point.
