Life is good.
Matt and I decided to impose a moratorium on all old bits. We will not allow ourselves to rampage our old material. Instead, we will work to develop new material which can be integrated with the old material before the old ones get too played. Sustainable development.
Matt and I also had an idea for a Diversey singles mixer. What do you think? Would you be interested? Plans are also in the works for Diversey Homecoming 2000.
This weekend, I met an exceptional woman. But she lives in another state. Oh, well.
Napster is alive.
Last night, we found Josh’s van where it has been parked on the street since early June. I expected to find that it had been towed, or at least fixed with “The Boot”. But it was still there—and with only two parking tickets. Amazing.
I am looking very forward to the new Wyclef album, and also the new Black-Eyed Peas album. The singles I’ve found online are exquisite.
Earlier this summer, I mentioned that I wanted to be a better man…Have I made progress? For awhile, I thought the summer would somehow be a whirlwind of activity—new friends, new experiences, etc. I soon realized that idea was unrealistic. But instead I found that by slowing down, it forced me to pose difficult questions to myself. Spending time alone forced me to think carefully—to consider issues that perhaps I have been ignoring. It challenged me to use my time wisely. And I’ve used my spare time to learn about many things—to be more aware, and to plan ahead for the long-term. Several important events are happening—we decided to revise our approach to PCC. I think my relations with Matt have been improving since we made the decision. I’ve read several books on fascinating topics. I’ve learned to be a better citizen. I’ve simplified my life in many ways—to become more efficient, more responsible, more aware, more visionary. My DJ skills have vastly improved in the past month. Since my first party, I’ve revised some of my mixing practices. The summer is halfway over—I have more money than I thought I would. There is still much to learn. Thus far, the process has been sucessful, and must continue.
