Is Vivek in Oberhauser’s Camp?

Our first scoop has entered the ASGossip files, from a source close to the Braintrust known only as Mr. Purple. He must have some serious school spirit. Here’s his observation, hinting toward a possible power coalition behind the scenes in the elections…

Several news items hit my floor today.

Mr. Vivek Bavda and Mr. Sathyan Sundaram, two well-known and visible senators, were seen discussing issues with presidential candidate Mr. Brian Oberhauser before the FMO/AAAB/CH debate on Sunday night. Mr. Oberhauser was one of the last candidates to sit down for this, the opening round of debates, so there must have been quite a bit to talk about.

It is well known that last year Mr. Bavda ran for Academic VP with much support coming from ASG insiders who wished an ASG-experienced alternative to eventual winner Miss Kim Montgomery; possibly a new coalition is forming for this year’s race? The implications of placing Mr. Oberhauser, a greenhorn in ASG politics, with bonafide insiders with impressive ASG credentials are quite intriguing. Actually, such help would be exactly what Mr. Oberhauser would need to sustain credibility among said insiders, so the race may be heating up.

In any case, informed observers should watch for blocs to form. Not just for ones of this kind, but also among senators and leaders of key campus groups.
