Kim and Her Signs
Does anyone remember how Kim mentioned at the presidential debates that she only put up a few signs because she wanted to save space for student groups to post? She was also quoted in The Daily with the same story. Apparently, several people have been thinking about these comments, and don’t quite believe her reasoning…
A friend of mine was at the Norris Center just as it opened 8 hours after campaigning officially began. He found Kim Montgomery and her entourage plastering the place. Or should I say, trying to. You see, those damned student groups had their signs all over the friggin’ place, leaving the ASG candidate with little room to skullfuck passersby with such hard-hitting slogans as “students first.” Well, would you believe she considered—OUT LOUD—pulling down student group postings to secure prime billposting space for her campaign? I understand she eventually decided against that upon noticing my friend’s presence in earshot.
Anyhow, what makes this story great, is how she said at the debate in response to a question regarding campaigning how she hasn’t pasted up as much signage as her candidates to respect the student group signs that deserve the attention. Very telling.

Mr. Burnt Sienna confirms the observation. Did Kim really mean what she said about leaving space for student groups? You make the call.
In the Daily last week, Kim was quoted about her lack of signs in Norris. She said that she wanted to purposely put up only a few signs so as to allow student groups their rightful space for advertising. In actuality, she showed up late at 8:15 and had a whole stack of signs to put up, pouted that all the space was taken up, and then put her signs in the very few places that were left.
