Don’t Pick on Bass

A letter received this morning tries to put the Bass scandal in its proper perspective.

Don’t pick on Bass. ASG’s rule structure, if enforced verbatim, would render even the most honest campaigns criminal. With the amount of active campaigning that Bass has undertaken, it’s no surprise that she was cited for violations; virtually every campaign has been. The only safeguard against getting fined seems to be minimalist campaigning: expect Briggeman to emerge from this election clean, for what little that’s worth.
